Postby ayman.yassin81@gmail.com » Sat Sep 06, 2014 4:28 pm

Hello,
we have a case and need to know if it's available how to be done with cameo
workbench as follows:

1-model to model transformation
2-source model is coloured petri Net (CPN) with published XML schema (XSD)
3-target model is UML 2.x models (activity and use case)

Hello Ayman,

interesting question. Did you solve this problem meanwhile? I know of a QVT plugin for MagicDraw that supports QVT operational mappings. But what is Cameo m2m Workbench? Did you publish a copy of the petri net schema?

Hello,
Cameo Workbench is the tool used by our customer to transform models.
You can create your own source/target metamodels/models, and of course your own bridge.
It is possible to transform from/to one or several models.
It is also possible to generate text/code.
We've made a webinar on Cameo Workbench some weeks ago and one of the subject was the transformation of a PetriNet model (not a coloured one) to a MagicDraw model.
This is an example but this explain how to use Cameo Workbench to do the transformation you want.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you wish to have more information of this.
Best Regards,
Valery
