Changing the appearance of stereotypes in class diagrams

Postby JonD » Mon Dec 07, 2015 12:02 pm

Hello,
How can I change the color and font of the stereotypes when they are shown in diagrams, particularly in class diagrams?
Thanks for any help.

Hello,

Could you please provide additional details of what exactly are you trying to achieve?

Do you mean changing the color and font of stereotype element shape, the text of stereotype applied to element/class on element/class shape, or about the element/class shape after the stereotype is applied to it?

Waiting for your response,

I am sorry but I am not familiar with all these options. To clarify what I am trying to do, I am attaching a class diagram. In this diagram, I have a Kill method (destructor) and a New method (constructor). I want to change the color and font of these stereotypes as shown in the diagram so that I can quickly see which methods are constructors and which methods are destructors. So for instance, I want the word <<destructor>> to be shown in bold red. Is this possible? Also, I have many more classes. Is it possible to change the appearance of all the stereotypes in these classes quickly?

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

Thank you for additional details.
Currently it is not possible to set a color for a stereotype name, if stereotype assigned to attribute or operation. We have recorded such issue to our database, however the fix timeframe is not set yet.

Also, even if this would be possible, we do not support different colors for different owned elements displayed on owning shape (so, basically you can change color for all operations, but no for each operation separately).

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have more questions or problems. However, we highly recommend contacting us on our official tickets system http://knowledgebase.nomagic.com , as it allows to follow through with the tickets easier.

Hello,

I would like to add to this post another question. I have no issue in let a specific class element change it's color based on the applied stereotype. Nevertheless I have the issue that the color on the element does not stick to it once I use the element as a part portery.

To give an example:
I model the System "System" which consits of the element "SubSystem". A coresponding stereotype is applied to the block "SubSystem".
Now, once I jump into the internal strucutre of the "System", the block "SubSystem" is displayed as part property but without the matching color of it's owing stereotype.

Any ideas how i can fix that and the color of the owing stereotype is displayed here?

Many thanks in advance!
Cheers Simon
