Displaying Message to Self on SDs generated from CST

Postby stephanie.chiesi@raytheon.com » Thu Apr 20, 2017 1:59 pm

I'm having success with generating a SD from the state diagrams and activities I have in a model, but I can't quite figure out how I could show a message to self in such automatically created SD. Is this possible? What construct would I need on an activity diagram to show that type of message occurring so that it generates on the SD?

Also - though I couldn't fit it in the title - can execution bars be shown on the SDs if they are relevant? How would that be made to occur for the automatically generated SD?

Hello,

We record a self message in the sequence diagram if events have been sent to own context (sender and receiver are same).
Please find the attached sample model, and run "Config".
We send "sig" signal on the activity diagram, and this signal is consumed on the state machine diagram (both activity and state machine run on the same context), then you will see that the self message is created.

And yes, we have not recorded execution bars in the generated sequence diagram.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Kind regards,
