EA Converter

I just did an XMI (2.1) export from EA and then attempted to import into MagicDraw (using the EA import plugin).

The import dialog came up but it's been over an hour and it hasn't finished. The only options are to let it continue or cancel.

Should it take that long to import an XMI file that took about 5 minutes to export from EA?

What is the size of exported XMI? If it takes up to 5 minutes to export from EA, the exported XMI size might be more than 100 MB which usually takes 3 or 4 hours to convert it to MD model. However, this depends on the performance of your machine and the detail of your model. If there are a lots of sequence diagrams, the conversion process tends to take more time.
