Extending Monte Carlo Analysis Values

Postby vwaters@mitre.org » Tue Jun 29, 2021 11:09 am

Hello,

I'm looking to run Monte Carlo (MC) simulation using Cameo's built in MC Analysis for several values.

Is there a way to extend MC built in values (mean, deviation, OutofSpec) to more than one variable and display all of them in an instance table as a summary for one execution (say 500 runs) iteration at a time?

I have created a separate version of the MC analysis, but then the instance table lists all 500, or however many, instances.

Thank you
Valentina

Hello Valentina,

Good to talk to you!

Please see video and samples in documentation of the video - https://youtu.be/TwrRg19QUi8

You can shave results in single instance.

However as it comes to capturing multiple variables based Monte Carlo analysis statistical results likely you will need to run simulation multiple time for each variable and have multiple simulation contexts. The exception would be to use histogram charts to track multiple properties statistical data, in such case each histogram tracks it's statistical data separately, but results are not saved into instance, they can be saved per histogram spec into CSV or PNG.

Hope it helps. Let us know if you have more questions or issues.

Sincerely,
Saulius
