Floating Engineer Use Case?

Postby Lonnie VanZandt » Thu Feb 05, 2009 12:58 pm

Suppose a modeling engineer assists multiple engineering teams and each team
maintains its own TeamServer. (These teams may be co-located or may be in
entirely separate organizations.)

As an example, personally, I work for a company and I volunteer in INCOSE.
Within my current MD session, I would like to model within business projects
and model within INCOSE projects.

How then does that modeling engineer open projects from those multiple
TeamServers as they work on multiple models throughout the course of each
day?

Can an engineer run multiple sessions of MD each logged into to separate
TeamServers?

Ideally, the TeamServer session would be associated with the model/project
and not with the user, client host, or MD application.

Hi Lonnie,

We know this issue. You can easily solve it by launching two or more
MagicDraw instances and thus connect to any number of servers you need
at the same time.

Best regards,
