from <<Actor>> to <<Partecipant>>

Postby luc_magic » Fri Mar 07, 2014 9:40 am

Hi to everyone,

I'm working with "Service Architecture Diagrams" (SoaML) and I have a doubt about <<partecipant>> type.

In detail:

I would like to use an <<actor>> named "person" in a Service Architecture Diagram "SA_general" AS a <<partecipant>>.

I've dragged and dropped the actor "person" into "SA_general", then I've changed its Stereotype into "PartecipantPart".

At this point I've got a <<partecipant>> named ":person" and everithing seems to be all right.

However in the package "Service Architecure" of the containment tree, <<partecipant>> ":person" has a red circle associated instead of a red rectangle and I can't add a port to it.

I've got that same problem if I create a new <<PartecipantPart>> named "manufacturer" instead of ": manufacturer" (without colon : ).
(What the colon ":" in the <<partecipant>> name means?)

I would like to know if it is possible to use an <<actor>> of a "Use case Diagram" into a "Service Architecture Diagram" as a <<partecipant>> (or how I can link the actor and the partecipant).

I'm sorry for my bad English.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Bye

A.
