Import CSV to Entity model

Postby jvernonjpmc » Fri Sep 02, 2016 7:18 am

I need to import the definition of an Impala table into MagicDraw. I have the column name and data type in a CSV format, e.g. client_id, string.

How do I import this information into an ER model?

Dear jvernonjpmc,

If you already have the ER model (Entities), and want to import each column, you can follow this sample.

Says that you already have the "PurchaseOrder" Entities that represent the table.
You will prepare the CSV like this:

ColName,Type,Table
PO_No,Integer,PurchaseOrder
date,date,PurchaseOrder
total,Integer,PurchaseOrder

Note: make sure that the spelling of the Type is match with UML primitive type.

When you call up the CSV Import, you will select "Property" as a target type, then click Next.
Next you will map the:
- name, to the ColName
- type, to the Type
- owner, to the Table

Best Regards,

You can import the CSV to the entity model with the assistance of https://errorcode0x.com/resolve-kaspersky-antivirus-error-1922/ and you can also get help cameo data.
