Math Engine Timeout when connecting with Matlab

Postby rmartinez@draper.com » Mon Mar 12, 2018 7:04 am

Hi,

I have a parametric diagram which is has a Matlab m-file to perform some rather large/intensive (matrix) calculations.
Whenever I launch a simulation from MD it generates a "TimeoutException when connecting to Math Engine" and then MD crashes / closes.

Is there a way to math the Math Engine wait long enough so that the computations are completed ?
(By way of reference when the Matlab code is executed outside of MD the time it takes for the computations to complete is about 6 mins.

Regards,

-Bob

Dear Customer

You can increase the timeout for external solvers (Matlab, for example) by going to MagicDraw main menu > Options > Environment > Simulation > Parametric Evaluator group > External Solver Timeout. The time unit is in seconds.
