MD5: Integration with JBuilder

Postby RIchard Vowles » Wed Nov 21, 2001 10:00 pm

A couple of points so far, I do hope there will be updates to the beta
product as I will actively use it to make sure it works!

1) When adding classes, you are specifically adding them to the JBProject
node, as the examples in the open tools do. Please don't do this if the user
is using Professional or Enterprise - max.package.levels in the project
allows JBuilder to do auto package discovery and it just means you end up
with lots of useless entries in your product nodes and is annoying to use.
2) MagicDraw lets an interface realize a class, which seems a little odd,
which led to me discovering that JBuilder didn't like it. But when I got it
the right way around, I noticed that MagicDraw isn't honouring the placement
of the curly braces {} - if you are using jad I can't understand how you
can't be!
3) Is there an option anywhere to let you say "always update to jbuilder"?
Or at least let me click on the background of a class diagram and it updates
everything on the page. You may want to change "Add to JBuilder" to "Update
JBuilder" as well, as it doesn't always add..

Thanks!
Richard

Also,

I have noticed that the project manager is overridden - but it doesn't obey
the look & feel guidelines for the rest of JBuilder - being in Metal for
example and it doesn't look like Metal.
