Offline Project Size

Postby brandon.gibson@lmco.com » Tue Mar 27, 2012 6:08 am

I have noticed that the size of my offline projects grow very large 10x the size of the original project... I currently have a 100 MB mdzip file that was 9 MB in the original project.

When I try to commit this project to teamwork after multiple offline edits and saves I get error messages and the commit will not complete.

I am assuming that the size of the offline file is related to capturing history of the changes... is there a way to stop this behavior? Editing offline is performed for the purpose of not having to commit to teamwork every few minutes and taking up space on the shared server.

Hello,

Offline saved project has information about element modification and locks, in case there are big number of locks or modifications
in the project size of project may be bigger than original.
To verify this please try to save project copy without option to commit to the server and check file size.
