Cameo Systems Modeler project templates

Postby haneberg@informatik.uni-augsburg.de » Tue Apr 12, 2016 4:41 am

I'm currently evaluating if an upgrade from MagicDraw to the Cameo Systems Modeler is an option for us. The first thing that I noticed in the Cameo Systems Modeler demo version is that a lot of templates that were present in Magic Draw are missing, most notably the UML project and Use Case Project templates. Can those templates be added to Cameo Systems Modeler as downloads? Most of my colleagues are mostly doing UML modeling, I guess they woudln't want to work with the SysML template.

Hello,

Cameo System Modeler is designed for System Engineers based on SysML (System Modeling language).
Meanwhile MagicDraw application is based on UML.

Regarding your question about UML templates, there is no possibility to add such templates into Cameo System Modeler as additional templates, but UML project or Use Case project could be loaded with Cameo System Modeler.
Please evaluate your modeling needs and choose the most suitable application.
