Import schema from Oracle

Postby jvernonjpmc » Tue Jan 24, 2017 2:32 pm

I am aiming to import an Oracle schema using the DB Engineeering tutorial. The schema has many Views. When I import, it shows the queryExpression. How do I turn this off so that the queryExpression is not shown in the model? How do I set it so that it doesn't display any queryExpressions on import?

Thank you

Hello,

The queryExpressions are the tagged values of stereotyped class. You can set do not display this property in Project options. Open the project option dialog, expand Symbol styles -> Default ->Stereotypes. Find the ViewTable stereotype and click the Copy to Project Style. The editable Stereotype copy appears. Select that stereotype and find the option "Show Tagged Values". Change this option to "Do Not Display" and apply for all diagrams.

I followed your advice ... selected Options->Project->Symbol styles->Default->Stereotypes.

But I do not see a stereotype called ViewTable. Also the existing stereotypes are not editable, in case that is relevant.

Can you help?

Hello,

Existing stereotypes styles are not editable, because they come from profile. As mentioned above, select the stereotype, click the button "Copy to Project Style" and then edit it.

Unfortunately, we cannot find out the reason you don't see the stereotype in list without your project. Please try selecting Stereotypes node and using Add/Remove Stereotype button. Please find more about editing symbol styles at https://docs.nomagic.com/display/MD184/ ... bol+styles , especially check for "Stereotype Properties" and "Collecting symbol styles from modules" part.
