StringExpression for NamedElement nameExpressions Example?

Postby » Thu Feb 08, 2018 10:48 am

I would love to see an example, if possible in CSM 18.5 sp2 or later, of using a nameExpression to derive the name of a bound element. I've reviewed sections 7.3, 7.4 and 8.3 of the UML 2.5 Specification, but I'm not sure exactly how to do this in CSM. I'm not sure how to create StringExpressions, and not sure how to get it to show up as a nameExpression since the Name Expression property is read-only. Feel free to use a Package or Class, DataType or any Behavior as the namedElement. Thanks!

Dear James,

Currently we do not support NameExpressions. As a consequence, this field is greyed out as read-only in specification dialog.

For the moment we do not have a specific timeframe when this will be supported.

Yours Sincerely,
