Signal and flow specification

I am confused between what's the difference between a flow specification block and a signal?

I understand that flow specification defines the flow through a flow port. Then where is Signal used? Signal or flow specification, which one is used to define ports in internal block diagrams?

Hello,

Flow Specification is deprecated element since the SysML 1.3 version, it was replaced by Interface Block. Interface Block specifies what flow properties are available for a specific interface and these flow properties can be typed by a signal. You can learn more how to define interfaces using ports here:
