Teamwork Cloud Multi Nodes

Postby chris@2hb.com » Mon Apr 02, 2018 4:42 am

We are trying to setup TWC in the following way

2 TWC nodes
3 Cassandra nodes

We have been having an issue getting the 2 TWC nodes to talk.

Do we need to put both the nodes in the application.conf file in the cluster { seed-nodes = ["akka.tcp://first-fqdn:2552","akka.tcp://second-fqdn:2552"]

something like the above in the application.conf file on both TWC nodes?

Chris,
Correct -both nodes should have this entry for both nodes as seed nodes. This way, upon restarting any node, it will attach the the TWC cluster.
If the seed not was pointing only to itseld in the multi-node scenario, you would not have a cluster, but rather 2 individual nodes. If you pint it to only one of the nodes, it needs to be up fir the cluster to run, and a restart of this singular seed node would require a subsequent restart of the other nodes to attach themselves.
