Using Excel import for inherited values

Postby sthudium@industechnology.com » Fri Jul 27, 2018 9:17 am

How do I use the Excel Import plugin to import data for values that are inherited by a generalization association?

During the importing process, the Excel Import plugin creates a "Device mapping" diagram, which shows blocks for the fileSchema and the target class. The value properties within the fileSchema block are linked to value properties in the target class block. I notice that the value properties in the target class block that are inherited through generalization are marked with a caret ( ^ ) that precedes the property name. I also notice that the data values, in the Excel table, that match the inherited properties are not assigned when the instance specification is created.

Once, inherited properties did import, so, it would seem that, I just haven't found a way to reliably import inherited properties.

I was using Cameo 18.5.

I now have Cameo 19, so I will try again. Will let you know what happens.

Thanks.
