Hello,

Thanks for the information.

It didn't work:

We deleted the old files from location [1] below and put new files but when running the publishing, we noticed that still old files were in the JS directory.
Even deleting files from [2] and re-running we saw old files would go to [2].
Then we searched for this directory and saw that there is another one in DEFAULT location in [3].
Deleting that and having new files there in [3] worked.

Question1:As it takes time to test all combinations for us. Could you please check the source code and tell us which of [1], [2] and [3] overwrites all others so that we replace that on all our users.

Question2: Why is there duplicates in [1] and [3] ? When are they used ? it seems from Command line and UI same one is used.

Question3:(asked also 2 times earlier). When and in which product release will this fix be included ?

Thanks,
John

Hello John,

Q1: You could check the currently report data directory at your log file, you would see this:
Code: Select all
2018-08-30 14:47:23,272 [main] INFO  REPORTS - Loading template from C:\Users\uraiwan_i\AppData\Local\.magicdraw\19.0\data\reports

Q2: Command line and UI use the same report data directory. We know only [2] is created when you firstly install your Cameo EA. [1] and [3] may be created according to your configuration.

Q3: The fix would be included to 19.0FP1.

Best regards,

Hello,

Thanks for the information.

We did some more testing today. It seems the main location is [3]. The one in [2] that you see in the log is once the tool copies files from [3] to [2].
What we noticed in our testing was:

If you delete files from [2] and keep the latest in [3] then when running the publishing, files will be copied to [2] then publishing done. Even if files in [2] are old the one from [3] are copied to [2].

But if you delete files from [3] then the publishing fails where it says couldn't find the template files.

We checked couple other machines we couldn't see the [1].

So that means [3] is the main place where these files need to be replaced in. Then files in [2] will be replaced automatically when the too runs.

Thanks,
Jonh
