Are TWC Change Sets Stored?

Postby douglas.w.orellana@saic.com » Wed Nov 07, 2018 11:52 am

I just noticed that as you make changes to a model managed in TWC v19.0 a change set tracks any modification, deletion, or additions. Does the system currently store these change sets after commit? I would love to be able to trace a change set to a work item on JIRA or another issue management tool, as well as be able to see what each change set modified in the history.

Also is there a way to work on two separate change sets at the same time and commit them separately?

Thanks

Hello,

Once committed, your local changes from a specific change set are no longer stored locally. However, before a commit you can choose to "Tag version with Change ID after Commit" (https://docs.nomagic.com/display/MD190/Change+Sets) which enables to trace your changes to a work item. As a result, such commit will be distinguished from ordinary ones in project history with this dedicated tag.

Working on multiple separate change sets is supported via Suspend/Resume mechanism, meaning that you can have as many local change sets as you want, however, only one active at a time. For more information please see https://docs.nomagic.com/display/MD190/Change+Sets.

Kind regards,
