I am interested in magicdraw, but before I have a question. Is the
openAPI accessible inside Eclipse, so that I can build an Eclipse plugin
that access MagicDraw (which is integrated with Eclipse anyways)?

thanks in advance,

Dear Sir,

The standard way would be to write a MagicDraw plugin
that will work with standalone MagicDraw and Eclipse-MagicDraw integration.

The one area that needs extra work:
Eclipse has different mechanism of configuring main menu items
and toolbar buttons.

MagicDraw plugin main menu items and toolbar buttons are not visible in
Eclipse.

In order to solve this problem you need to create a small Eclipse plugin
that configures main menu items and toolbar buttons.

Eclipse-MagicDraw integration is implemented as an Eclipse plugin.

It should be no problems for your Eclipse plugin to use
MagicDraw Open API. In this case your Eclipse plugin should depend on
MagicDraw integration plugin.
