Extract Parameters from Requirements

Postby Franz » Tue Jan 23, 2018 4:07 am

Hello,

I now it is possible to connect requirement parameters to blocks using the satisfy connection to check if requirements are met. Is there a way to automatically extract the parameters of a requirement to parameters of a block? My idea is that it might be helpful if parameters get updated automatically after the requirements are updated from an external requirement program or excel.

I appreciate your help!

Sincerely
Franz

Hello,

It is not possible.
We have not supported such feature to map requirement parameters to blocks.

Sincerely,

Hello,

Starting with SysML 1.5 version, the abstract requirement element is presented, which allows users to extend Requirement concept and base it on any kind of element. As a result, RequirementsConstraintBlock could be created and it would have all the features of Requirement and Constraint Block. Here is a sample and more information on this: https://docs.nomagic.com/display/SYSMLP ... News-sysml

This is available since the 19.0 beta version.

Kind regards,

The link you provided does not work. When I try to create a new stereotype from Requirement and Constraint Block, I can still not add a constraint to enable to verify requirements. I do remember reading that this would be a capability offered in 19.0, but I cannot get it to work. Any insight would appreciated.
