Possible Data Loss Detected

Postby galang_daniel@bah.com » Thu Mar 21, 2019 11:02 am

Hi all -

An error appears in the notification window and in a red box when my team's project is opened. The error reads:

"Possible data loss detected! MagicDraw has detected that the following diagrams may have lost their contents: Diagram x, y, and z. Please report this problem to No Magic Inc. Customer Support. We highly recommend to not work with this project until the issue is resolved."

Has anyone encoutered this error before? What factors would cause this error to appear?

Some things to note:
- MagicDraw 19.0 is what is being used
- This project has been sent and opened on three separate computers and the error appears on all three
- Some diagrams in this project have been deleted, but the data to recreate those diagrams are still present
- This error has been sent to No Magic Inc. Customer Support, but not actions have been completed other than that the issue has been logged

Thank you in advance,
Daniel

I am also seeing this error notice in my projects, but have no idea how to get rid of it. We have inspected all of them and there is no data missing. There were a lot of empty diagrams created by default when the project was generated, so the only thing I can think of is the diagrams are empty which makes Cameo think there was a loss of data. Hopefully someone answers this for both of us soon.

We went through our model and either deleted the empty diagrams or added placeholder elements and that has fixed the error, or at least we are no longer getting an error message when we open our model. We are using UAF, so there were a lot of empty diagrams since we just created a new one recently. Hope that helps, good luck!
