Functional Decomposition Prevents Activity Simulation

Postby » Tue Apr 16, 2019 3:04 pm

I am using Cameo Systems Modeler v19.0 SP2.

I created a simple functional decomposition (activity hierarchy) with one parent Activity and two subordinate child activities on a bdd. I used Directed Composition connectors (black diamond with arrow) to relate the children to their parent. Then I created a simple activity diagram for the parent activity, which contained Actions typed by the two child Activities.

The Activity model does not simulate ("****Activity Parent Activity execution terminated").

But if I change the connectors on the functional decomposition to Directed Association connectors the activity diagram simulates perfectly.

Directed Composition is the traditional connector using to build a functional decomposition using SysML, but it does not seem to be supported in the current version of Cameo Systems Modeler?
