Dynamic generation of reports via hyperlinks

Postby thomas.asencio@soprasteria.com » Wed Jan 29, 2020 3:24 am

Hello,

I am trying to create a documentation from a MagicDraw model, but with hyperlinks to other pages of documentation.
My goal is for the user to be able to click on a hyperlink in the report, and the matching page is generated.
For example, the user is reading a report on a screw, and the document contains an hyperlink that generates the documentation related to the swrewing device. It should be as if the document was already generated somewhere and can be accessible in one click (even though it will take time for the report to be generated, of course).

Assuming that all the necessary information is present in the first export (i.e. the scope of the information to be extracted, location of the model, location of the script), is it possible to do so?

Thanks for any information you can give me on this topic.

Hello and thanks for your reply,

I understood how to implement an hyperlink thanks to your example, but my main focus was about how to make this link create a new report from the model.
I took a look at the Generate command and the Groovy scripting, but I am not sure about how to make everything work together;

Hello,

We provide File tool for creating more reports by specifying imported object and secondary template.
