Memory Usage Publishing to Collaborator on Teamwork Cloud

Postby benton.maxted@novasystems.com » Wed Apr 17, 2019 1:24 am

I'm hitting memory limit errors when trying to publish a model with Collaborator to Teamwork Cloud (not Alfresco), from Cameo Systems Modeller.

I've got 16GB memory (Windows 10), and a heap size of 10600 MB. The project I'm publishing has about 10,000 elements.

Part way through publishing, I'll get a 'Increase Heap Size' error message, but if I hit cancel on that, the publish eventually finishes.

Is it expected to require this much memory to publish a model of this size to TWC? Are there recommended specs for using these tools, or anything I can do to improve performance?

I'd be interested to hear if there is a reason for this. I had the same problem. I had previously increased my memory allowance as high as it would let me. However, when it gave me this error again, I just went ahead and increased it to 40000MB. The window flashed, and I put in 40000MB again, and then it published fine. No idea why.
