OutOfScope Error

Postby henry.tran@airbus-sv.com » Tue Dec 03, 2019 5:36 pm

I have a model where i have typed properties with value types that can be found in the ISO-80000 auxiliary packages.

I validated my model and received an error indicating that the type was chosen out of scope. What does it mean to choose a type out of scope? Screenshot attached below

Did you find the root cause and resolution to this error?
I am having the same issue but unclear what is causing it.

Not a recommendation since I don't know what it is actually doing but it seems to appease this validation rule.
In the validation results window, if you click the gear icon there are a few fix options presented where one of the options are "Create package import relationship".
Selecting this seems to have helped although you will need to do this for each value type and run validation again. Repeat the same steps until there are no more validation issues reported.

Would be great if someone knows what "Create package import relationship" is doing and what should we have done from the start to avoid the error.
