Using a Custom TimeUnit for Model-Based Clock

Postby nell.finigan@aero.org » Mon Jun 14, 2021 10:57 am

I'm using Cameo Sim Toolkit version 19.0 SP3 and implementing the model-based clock.
I'm able to use a custom property for Time Value, but the Time Unit seems to be limited to Cameo’s pre-set units. It seems like the point of the model-based clock is to be able to set a custom property for the time value, so it's surprising to me that the time unit is not also customizable. Is there a way to a customize the time unit?

Hello,

Thank you for for your question. You can change time unit in simulation config e.g. https://youtu.be/6934-KYj56E. As time property is changed in the model you increase time as much as needed, unit stays same as in simulation config - second, minutes etc., but you change time increment as needed so you can jump hours, years etc in single increment. Hope this helps.

Sincerely,
Saulius
