Document Modeling Plugin

Postby 543SysML » Wed Jul 25, 2018 7:42 am

Is there a good reference model available that can be referenced to understand how "Document Modeling Plugin" can be utilized. The documentation for the plugin is quite lean and the blog post on the no magic blog really does not go into any details. A simple example may help us understand how to utilize the plugin properly.
I did find a project on the forum but it does not seem to work as advertised.
We are currently using 18.5 SP3 but looking to transition to 19.0 soon.

Thanks.

I have much the same question as the original author. I found the document referenced for the plugin but found it pretty lacking. There is much that is left out, and there are dialogs for instance that it uses with no reference to how to actually get those dialogs open. Does anyone have any examples beyond what comes with the program and description of how to construct them?

The Document Modeling Plugin User Guide referenced above does not contain enough information to use the plugin. Surely there must be more documentation somewhere?

Here's a write-up I did. Document Modeling works pretty well, once you get used to the clumsiness of it.

Thanks for that write up. Can anyone explain how to use the "Scaled Figure Viewpoint".

I can use the standard figure viewpoint to allow my figure to appear but it is not scaled and overlows over the page. How do I adjust my viewpoint to scale the diagram I am exposing?

Thanks!

I am modeling a document and am able to successfully preview the document and generate the HTML, but not the PDF. I have tested mapping to various xsl stylesheets for PDF in the environment, document modeling section, but nothing seems to be working. Will you please advise?
