Simulation Toolkit not working after a new install

I recently got a new work computer and had to re-install Magic Draw. Since doing this I cannot get the Simulation Toolkit to run on any diagrams. When I open an activity diagram and hit the "Run" button, the Activity diagram shows up in the Sessions window and in the variables window. In the variables window everything is greyed out which I don't remember being the case in the past. When I hit the start button the sessions window shows started but nothing else happens, I do not get the trace in the diagram showing the execution and nothing shows up in the console window. The behaviour is pretty much the same whether I run from a diagram or from a block. I get the same behaviour when trying to run the sample diagrams packaged with the Magic Draw installation. I tried uninstalling Magic Draw and re-installing after deleting any traces of the previous installation and not change. The new computer does meet the minimum specs for Magic Draw. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
