Dependencies and Importing Packages

Hello all,

SysML Distilled discusses multiple ways of importing or reusing packages across other models (sections 10.5, 10.6, 10.7).

I am trying to reuse only certain diagrams from a model within my project. Is there a way to actually import or set up a dependency that actively replicates your model elements, or are these features just intended as a visual representation?
