Windows 2000 shortcuts do not show up in file browser

Postby Gerard J. Cerchio » Wed Jul 02, 2003 5:31 pm

Hi,

I am hoping that you can have the shortcut links in the Windows 2000 system
become navigable in the next release.

I keep my most used directories in the desktop and I always have to drill
down
to them in MD.

Thanks,

Gerard J. Cerchio

Gerard,

what particular shortcuts are you talking about?
Could you refine your request?

Best regards,

Hi Andrius,

1. open a windows browser
2. right click on any directory listed
3. choose "Create Shortcut"
4. Move the created shortcut to the desktop
5. try double clicking the shortcut on the desktop (you get to the
directory)
6. Open MD and select file open
7. you will not see your shortcut as a directory choice

hope this helps to clarify....

Regards

Gerard

Hello,

We will add suggestion that shortcut as a directory choice could be
displayed in the MagicDraw "Open" dialog to our suggestions list.
