Module Version Bug?

Postby Jürgen Rombach » Mon Jun 04, 2007 5:38 am

We are using TeamworkServer 9.5 and have a Teamworkserver projcet organized
in modules.
I am having a project main which has the modules A and B. Inside A is a
class with operations defined. Now someone checks out module A and adds a
opearation to the class. Then he does
a commit and gets version 5 for module A.

Now another teamwork member opens the main project. He sees module A version
5 but, he do
not see the newly added operation. He does a "Reload" module and the version
number stays at 5 but now he sees the operation.

Is this a known bug?

Kind regards

Hello,

Unfortunately we cannot reproduce the described defect neither with
MagicDraw 9.5 nor with newly released MagicDraw 12.5. The opened teamwork
project always has included modifications in the used modules.

Could you please tell us, if such modules update problem occurs with all
modified teamwork modules or only with this project? Also, could you please
concretize how another user opens the main project: does the project was
closed before opening or the user opens it from locally saved copy?

Hi,

it occured with several modules of that project.
The other user opened the project via locally saved copy. Then he looked at
the version
number of the other module and saw "version 8", which he knew that this is
the actual version of this module. But then he saw that an operation was
missing and hit "Releoad module". Version number stayed at 8 but he got the
new operation.

Hi,

Thank you for the detailed answer. Unfortunately, we still cannot reproduce
this situation - for us the modules information is updated every time. We
will continue investigation of this problem and will add the defect to our
defects list as soon as we find this situation.
Sorry for the inconveniences.
