Merging teamwork branches

Postby matthew_connors@bmc.com » Fri Jan 28, 2011 6:07 pm

Teamwork Server 16.9, native storage, no source code control integration

We will soon have a need to branch our project and begin working on the next product release while continuing to make changes to the current release. Is there a way to merge changes from the current release branch into the future release branch over time? The 16.9 doc does not explain how to manage branches. Is there material somewhere else that explains this?

Thanks,
Matt

Hello,

Thank you for the question. MagicDraw supports projects branching and model merging.
To find more information about Model Merging, please read the MagicDraw UserManual.pdf document located at <MagicDraw installation folder>/manual directory, chapter "Model Merge". To watch a video tutorial showing the Model Merge functionality click http://www.magicdraw.com/files/viewlets ... Merge.html
There is also a video tutorial about a project branching: http://www.magicdraw.com/files/viewlets ... ching.html
More useful video tutorials are listed at http://www.magicdraw.com/magicdraw_resources

If you have more questions or issues to raise, we will be glad to help you.
Best regards,
