Hello Jane,
The additional diagram wizard for ER diagrams is a good suggestion, we will have this in mind when planning next release features. Thank you.
In the mean time there are a couple of ways of speedy diagram creation even without the ER wizard.
One way to do this is to use multiselect.
So you could create ER diagram, then multiselect elements in the containment tree and then drag&drop them onto the diagram.
The process of picking elements in the containment tree should not be much slower than picking elements in the wizard.
To show relationships, rightclick the elements while they are still multiselected on the diagram and choose RelatedElements>Display Paths
Then pick one of the automatic layouts from the menu Layout.
And voilĂ , we have our ER diagram as if created with the wizard and not much slower.
Another way would be to reuse the Class Diagram wizard.
Just use the Diagrams>Diagram Wizards>Class Diagram Wizard
After that, simply convert the resulting class diagram into ER diagram by
rightclicking diagram in the containment tree>Refactor>Change Type To>..>ER Diagram
And again, we have our ER diagram.
Hope this helps
