Missing Associations after Reverse

Postby masel » Wed Mar 14, 2012 12:22 pm

Hey Community,

I have the problem, that Associations with edited Type Modifier, get lost after the Reverse Engineering. To realize the Multiplicity I change the Type Modifier to vector<$*>. MagicDraw generates it the right way. But if you do the Reverse Engineering he change the Type to vector<Type"$ *"> and kills the line between the Classes in the Class Diagram.

We are just modeling for C++ and have the latest MagicDraw Version(17.0.1). Is it a Bug, or how can we solve this problem?

Best regards,

Marcel

Dear Marcel,

The way that you edited the type modifier and generated code is not standard way for modeling template. There is nothing wrong to model like what you did, however, the model that you get back after you do reverse engineering will be changed to the standard way of modeling.

You can see some example here.
https://www.magicdraw.com/files/viewlets/MD_viewlets_modeling_template_viewlet_swf.html
or see the MagicDraw CodeEngineering UserGuide.pdf starting from page no. 96.
