Is an "association" between classes always an 1:1 relation?

Assume I create an "association" between two classes.
This association is NOT an aggregation and NOT a composition. Its just a simple association (line).

Is this relation always seen as 1:1?

Hello Peter,

Association always connects two classes. If you need to specify that association needs to connect three or more classes, you can use N-ary Association element (you can find it under Association button in Class Diagram elements toolbar).
