Relative Path for Teamwork Server Projects

Postby phathom.a.donald@lmco.com » Thu May 04, 2017 2:19 pm

Do Teamwork Server projects have relative paths than can be referenced, say for example, if I wanted to create a custom diagram that required a profile that was located on TWS?

Hello,

Custom diagrams cannot point to teamwork profiles.

The only workaround would be to use the new feature and add some buttons to already existing diagram. See more about this feature: https://docs.nomagic.com/display/MD183/ ... am+palette

Hello,

If you save a Teamwork Project locally, it will have references to used teamwork projects and when you will open it while logged in to the server, it will retrieve these projects automatically. You can also get a link to main element in project using Copy URL feature and share this link to other users. However, you cannot add it to project paths.

Also, the custom diagrams feature is based on assumption that custom profiles for diagrams are provided with install or plugin, and everyone using that diagram has these resources. This prevents getting unexpected changes in elements or symbols - only the final model is provided. Even if you could reference the server project from custom diagram, it still is the issue that the diagram descriptor is a local file you need to share and import.
