Round Trip Engineering for Java/Eclipse

Postby rbossek » Mon Aug 30, 2010 2:08 am

Dear NoMagic,

I try to extend usage of MagicDraw 15.1 beside documentation (specification) in our development process. Round Trip Engineering should be possible without headache, but I'm not able to get it working as expected.

What I'm looking for is like described here
# http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rational/library/10/roundtripengineeringscenariosusingrsaandccrcv7-5-5/index.html?ca=drs- -- Round Trip Engineering Scenario using Rational Software Architect
# http://www.uml-lab.com/de/uml-lab/videos/round-trip-engineering-ng-video/ -- Round-trip Engineering with UML LAB from Yetta

What I'm looking for is a document describing those use cases for MagicDraw. I'm familiar with "MagicDraw Code&DatabaseEngineering UserGuide.pdf.gz" but it is not going far enought.

I need a solution where I'm able to rename the class in source and/or diagramm and the code should be refactored.

Greetings,
Raphael Bossek

Hello Raphael,

I think you are looking for documentation like this "MagicDraw Integrations UserGuide.pdf". It describes our integrations (including MagicDraw integration into Eclipse), their options and how to edit source code in Eclipse/MagicDraw environment. MagicDraw Code&DatabaseEngineering UserGuide.pdf document describes only working with MagicDraw code engineering set but not with Eclipse integration.
