Save CSV Import Mapping

Postby taylor_sara@bah.com » Mon Jul 09, 2018 3:08 pm

I have been working on saving multiple csv import mappings for use by others. I noticed the "csvFileName" is saved in the mapping process and when sent for others to use, it tries to pull the file from the stored location. Is there a way for the csv file location to be updated aside from manually updating the file location in the csv import package saved in the model? or what is the best practice when sending a MD file with saved csv mappings?

Thank you!

Hello Taylor,

You can customize the csvFileName to use relative path of the project location by using <project.dir>.
ex. csvFileName = "<project.dir>\data.csv"

Or you may change the csv file by just click Back button after the map is loaded.

Hi Supat,

Great! Using the relative path solved the issue and I was able to send the MD file with the saved mapping for use on another computer.

Thank you!
