UAF enterprise phases - best practice or preference question

Postby jkuperman@riversideresearch.org » Thu May 30, 2019 5:09 am

I'm using UAF on a project, and have encountered a couple of areas where there doesn't appear to be any best practice or many examples. My first question is in regard to using enterprise phases. EnterprisePhases may be attached to the WholeLifeEnterprise through directed composition (Enterprise A) or standalone (Enterprise B). Which approach do you prefer, and why? Bonus question - are TemporalParts useful or confusing?

An update, after some more thinking and working with the model.

TemporalPart and StructuralPart work as "references" to other enterprise phases, and are especially useful when building up phasing across multiple organizations, or across multiple architecture descriptions/models.
