Using a Class Specification as an instance

Postby bruce.gritton1@navy.mil » Wed Oct 04, 2017 10:40 am

I want to be able to use a UML Class specification as an attribute of a class in a meta-model being developed. When I create an instance of the class, I want to specify a slot value that points to a class specification.

Can I do this? If so, how.

Thanks

Hi Bruce,

imho, both of your sentences describe two different cases. Here are the samples for each case. It's up to you what to choose.

Please note that the slot value can only point to the instance (b1) of the class (B), but not to the class (B) itself.

Kind regards,
