DNG OSLC integration

Good afternoon,

I am investigating OSLC links directly from Cameo 19.0 LTR to DNG. I am currently having troubles connecting Cameo to DNG (primarily with no backlink being created in DNG from OSLC links in Cameo). I am able to preview and create artifacts in DNG from within Cameo, so I am confident that that direction is working okay, it just seems to be the DNG to Cameo direction which is troublesome.

I think the problem may lie in this setup stage: https://docs.nomagic.com/display/CC4TWC ... C+resource, as ‘Tools > Cameo Collaborator > Publish to Teamwork Cloud’ menu option does not exist, the best you can do is ‘Collaborate > Add Project to Server’ at which point there are no ‘OSLC’ related options.

Ideally, requirements would not be copied to Cameo from DataHub, simply a link would be created on an element which would create the backlink in DNG.

Thank you very much,

Harrison.

We were having the same issues. Try looking into Syndeia 3.1 as a platform to integrate DNG into Cameo. 3.2 is supposed to have more functionality but we have successfully created a bi-directional link between DNG and Cameo using Syndeia.

Thanks for your input,

Since posting this we recently found that the issue was because we do not have Cameo Collaborator implemented in our system. This is a web client which adds a Cameo model as an OSLC resource for DNG to access. We are currently looking into implementing it - do you know if you took this approach, might save us some time if it did not work for you!

Hello,
For Teamwork Cloud, the same version of Cameo Collaborator and Teamwork Cloud is required. Similarly, you must use the same versions of Cameo DataHub and a modeling tool.

We subsequently discovered, after publishing this, that the problem was caused by the fact that Cameo Collaborator was not set up in our system. This web client adds a Cameo model to the list of OSLC resources that DNG can access. If you could let us know if you used this strategy, it could save us some time if it didn't work out for you heardle game
